The Hermosa Inn in Scottsdale Arizona whispers peace and tranquility with every photo and every word. You can feel the stress leave your body as you imagine relaxing in this boutique hotel.
“The present Paradise Valley, bordered by Squaw Peak to the north, the canal to the south, Camelback Mountain to the east, and the wide-open desert to the west, was far beyond Phoenix city limits in the 1930’s. When cowboy artist Alonzo “Lon” Megargee set his eyes on the isolated plot of land, it spoke to him – he built a one-room studio in the middle of it, and called it home.”

I happened upon a site for the Hidden Valley Inn in Belize today and had to share this photo. “Hidden Valley Inn is located high in the Mountain Pine Ridge in the Cayo District of Belize, Central America. This secluded lodge, situated amidst 7200 acres of private reserve, offers guests both pine forest and tropical jungle where the flora and fauna are like few places on earth.”
From hiking to biking to exploring caves, the Hidden Valley Inn will help you setup activities to explore the surroundings. If you’re a fan of Mayan ruins you’ll want to check out their site as they have expeditions to many of the major and minor sites including Tikal. Belize Tours & Adventure Activities
Belize is one of the most amazing countries from the jungles to the ocean. It’s one of my favorites because of these two major attractions. The Mayan ruins are in my opinion un-rivaled in their beauty and splendor. The crystal clear azure waters are also second to none.
“Adventurers of all ages and abilities. We also offer carefully designed tours that open up the fascinating world of Belize, from inland Maya archaeological treasures to the stunning Barrier Reef, beautiful cayes and coastal resorts and villages.”
“Chaa Creek Nature Reserve’s miles of lush, well maintained trails are perfect for horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking, and our licensed guides are here to help you explore Belize’s natural history including the fascinating Maya civilisation, which once thrived in this area. Canoe trips down the beautiful Macal River are a relaxing way to travel through the jungle, and with our Natural History Centre, Butterfly Farm, Rainforest Medicine Trail and numerous activities, your days at Chaa Creek are wonderfully full. And for exquisite pampering, there’s always the Hilltop Spa with stunning views and professional treatments guaranteed to soothe the spirit.”
