Many Alaskan cruises start from Seattle.  It’s a great contrast from the cold and wet of Alaska.  Spending a day before or after your cruise is a great way to catch a few sites in Seattle.   The Space Need is a must see as it’s one of the world recognizable buildings.

All around the Space Needle and directly on the Needle itself are restaurants and shopping including the children’s science museum.  When we were there there was also a Dale Chihuly exhibit going on right next to the Needle by the butterfly farms.

Take a ride to the top and then enjoy some of Seattle’s freshest seafood.
