Sushi is becoming huge in Utah. You wouldn’t imagine it for a city this far from ocean fish, but it’s thriving here. I think it comes from several sources, one being that the people are naturally inclined to like fish since they do a lot of freshwater lake and stream fishing and really enjoy the taste of fish. Second is that even though Salt Lake isn’t the most diverse city, we have people who have traveled and spent a lot of time in other countries where they pick up tastes for local traditional food. Also, people here are generally pretty health conscious and see sushi as a great alternative to burger and fries.
The tastes of Davis County align with these thoughts and that’s why we now have a sushi joint at Station Park in Farmington Utah.
“The owner of the Japanese food restaurant plans to offer two new menu items that aren’t available elsewhere in the state, including lobster and giant clam sashimi.
The new Sushi Monster in Farmington is also located near the Cinemark Theatre at Station Park. The restaurant will be open Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday noon to 10 p.m.”
